About Me
Hi, I’m Sam, an integrative counsellor offering online therapy across the UK.
I aim to offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and honestly, without judgement, pressure, or any expectation that you need to arrive with everything neatly worked out.
At its core, therapy for me is about holding a space for someone. I’m not here to do the work for you or to tell you who to be. Instead, I’m alongside you — listening, reflecting things back, and acting as a sounding board. At times, I might suggest ideas, perspectives, or techniques that could be helpful, but what we focus on is always guided by you.
How I Work
I genuinely believe that most people want to be the best version of themselves. People come to therapy for lots of different reasons — sometimes because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, and sometimes because they want to understand themselves better or improve one particular area of their lives.
There doesn’t have to be something “wrong” for therapy to be worthwhile.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and ways of working, depending on what feels most useful for you. That might involve looking at patterns, relationships, past experiences, or what’s happening in the here and now. We might explore triggers, values, and how your past has shaped you — while also thinking about where you’d like to go next.
While therapy can involve reflecting on the past or thinking about the future, it’s also very much about learning how to be with yourself in the present. Over time, this can help you make more sense of who you are, how you respond to the world, and what feels important to you.
Ultimately, your growth and direction belong to you. My role is to support that process with care, curiosity, and respect, and to walk alongside you as you figure things out in your own way.

Professional Information

Online Therapy – What to Consider
Online therapy can work well for many people and offers flexibility, accessibility, and the comfort of joining sessions from your own space. It can be particularly helpful if you’re balancing work, caring responsibilities, health issues, or if you simply prefer the convenience of meeting online.
That said, online therapy isn’t suitable for everyone or every situation. For it to work safely and effectively, you’ll need access to a private, dedicated space where you can talk freely without fear of being overheard, as well as a reliable internet connection and appropriate equipment to take part in sessions.
There are also some circumstances where online therapy may not be the best option. For example, if you’re currently in a coercive or controlling relationship, experiencing domestic abuse, or don’t have a safe or confidential space available, online sessions may not offer the level of safety or support needed. In these situations, I would usually encourage exploring alternative forms of support that are better suited to your circumstances.
If you’re unsure whether online therapy is right for you, we can talk this through during an initial conversation. My priority is always to work in a way that feels safe, ethical, and genuinely supportive for you.
